Hello, I’m Nicole Smith…

…all around Politics Enthusiast and Aspiring Comedian (not really).

I was born in Austin, TX, spent my childhood in Dayton, OH, and landed in Nashville, TN, during my adolescence. After finishing my Bachelor’s in Political Science and my Masters in Law and Public Policy, my husband, Kyle, and I settled in the heart of “God’s Country” - Tennessee - and started a family!

Not long after the close of my education, I began work as the Director of Social Media Advocacy for The American Center for Law and Justice (essentially the conservative’s version of the ACLU).

During my tenure at the ACLJ, I found the focus for the fight my soul longed to wage. Not only did I contribute as a Director, but I was also a regular contributor to human dignity, women’s issues, and human rights.

Every new day at the ACLJ - it seemed - brought yet another thousand people fighting for a women’s right to “choose,” - many of whom would unabashedly scream that we must destroy the fetus lest he is born, be unwanted, and be forced upon the taxpayer’s conscience. With every new voice of destruction, I vowed that there would be yet two more voices raised in defense of human dignity.

And from my heart to defend the dignity of human life, Dignity Defense Institute was born! Our mission is to educate the masses about the importance of protecting dignity by using all the many resources provided within the scientific, medical, philosophical, legal, and historical communities. Then we take to the public policy process to create the needed change to protect the dignity and personhood of every innocent living person.
